Client Reviews
Inexpensive and quite enjoyable to fly around the home. A micro RC helicopter that does not expense and arm and a leg, that can take a beating, and still be comparatively quick to fly accurately is every tiny boy's dream. I have the original foam 2 ch SpinMasters helicopter and the 3 ch Syma S010 with no the gyro or remote operated lights, so I really feel that I am pretty experienced with these toys.
This Apache has a especially nicely detailed plastic physique and with the bigger three.7v battery, it flies a lot faster than the earlier 1.7v choppers. The controls are a bit over-sensitive in that the slightest movements on the suitable stick rotates it or pitches it forward at close to complete speed - almost not considerably proportional control. The Syma may have been slower and didn't have the gyro, but it was smoother and additional precise in controlling it. My Apache also seems to have a defective gyro or manage program, since even though hovering, it continually spins clockwise slowly, even if the trim is set as far as achievable to compensate. As the battery winds down, that clockwise spinning gets a bit quicker and I have to apply some left rudder to compensate additional, which is tough mainly because the rudder is once more overly sensitive. I also don't like the non-spring loaded throttle. It makes it far to very easy to crash into a thing and then do further damage to the blades considering the throttle is nonetheless up. As you fly around an indoor space you'll still be producing constant adjustments to the throttle, so I see why they need to have it stick to one particular setting.
As far as educational value, nicely it looks like a regular helicopter, but the propeller configuration and flight control schemes are a lot numerous - probably cheaper to produce but much less "accurate" or true to life. Getting able to turn on the lights from the remote is incredibly nice but I wish the colored lights would have been placed additional "authentically" on the tail and sides as actual navigation lights instead of the weird rainbow strobe thingy below the tail. Charge time is a lot longer than the older 1.5v choppers, but you get a USB cable so you will not eat by way of as a number of AA batteries. Flight time are about the very same and you may well still have to adjust trim a lot and have fine coordination with the controls. Also, be ready for bad "Engrish" on the instruction manual! Not a poor toy for the $
Appears like I am finding extra and much more items from Amazon that appear made use of. The boxes appear like they've been opened, and now I received this helicopter where once again the box was re-taped, and only the front light functions, not the remaining three along the rod. The helicopter works fine, but appears to have been utilized ahead of.
